Thanksgiving is coming!

Don’t forget to take some time to reflect on what you’re thankful for with your family and friends!

 

Looking Back:


JH-The beginning of November brought with it six (6) students to Junior High youth group (Journey)!  We’re thankful for all of those students and hope to continue that momentum!  We’ve been having a lot of fun playing crazy games like “blow the bubble through the hula-hoop” and “cantaloupe bowling” as well as talking about what it means to give God our whole heart.

 

SH-Following the retreat at the end of October, we’ve continued to explore the reality of Christian community, and as we work through the book, Crazy Love by Francis Chan, we are continually challenged to love with unselfish motives and seek opportunities to live wholly for God.

CHIC:

If your student is going to CHIC, then please make sure that they pick up a registration from church, fill it out, and return it promptly to Tom. 

Payment: A non-refundable deposit of $100 is due on December 15th to reserve a spot.  Please make checks out to DeerGrove Covenant Church.

 

Prayer: 

  • Pray for our CHIC fundraising efforts.
  • Pray for strength and endurance for students as they finish the last month of school before Christmas break.
  • Pray that students would be bold and courageous in their schools as they represent Christ and witness to their peers through the love of God.
  • Pray that young people would feel safe and at home at DeerGrove; that relationships would develop and go deep, and that we all might come to know the amazing love of God better each day and week of our lives!
